FEES AND EXPENSES IN JUDICIAL MATTERS
The tariff for judicial officers costs incurred in legal proceedings is laid down by Royal decree of 30/11/1976 (published in the Moniteur Belge, the Belgian official journal, on 08/02/1977). These costs are non-negotiable and an judicial officer is prohibited from claiming costs that are higher than those stipulated by the said Royal decree or from agreeing price discounts. These costs are indexed on 1 January each year.
